CHM 150 Chemical Principles I

This course is the first of a two-semester sequence for science and engineering majors. Topics covered include atomic and molecular structure, nomenclature, chemical reactions, stoichiometry, oxidation-reduction, thermo-chemistry, electronic structure of atoms, chemical bonding, gases, liquids and solids. Laboratory experiments are used to illustrate theory.

Prerequisite: (MAT 281 scores) or (MAT 193 scores and (CHM 110 or HS chemistry within the past 3 years)) or (MAT 183 and CHM 110)
