Upon completion of this course, the student will:

  1. Use theoretical knowledge to develop plans of care that respond to changing patient needs.
    1. Modify nursing care based on theoretical knowledge to respond to the changing needs of the patient.
    2.  Use anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, and growth and development concepts to develop an individualized plan of care.
    3. Prepare a plan of care that incorporates a patient's behavioral and safety needs.
    4.  Prepare a plan of care that incorporates a patient's nutritional needs.
    5. Relate pharmacological principles when developing an individualized plan of care.
  2. Exhibit clinical reasoning skills through the use of the nursing process in the provision of patient care.

The grade will be determined using the Delaware Tech grading system:

90-100 = A
80-89 = B
70-79 = C
0-69 = F
