Measurable Performance Objectives (MPOs)

Upon completion of this course, the student will:

  1. Demonstrate mastery of a selected variety of cutting edge physiologic and technologic elements of advanced respiratory patient care.
    1. Compose key elements of information required to safely and effectively apply or use the modality.
    2. Describe appropriate patient evaluation and assessment for each element of care.
    3. Provide acceptable examples of correct patient communication and/or coaching.
    4. Using information-gathering and patient assessment data, discuss all appropriate goals.
    5. Based on the goals, describe appropriate assessment of procedural effectiveness.
    6. Using information-gathering and patient assessment data, discuss all pertinent hazards.
    7. Describe pertinent equipment used to implement the procedure or modality.
    8. Create appropriate documentation for each procedure or modality.

Evaluation Criteria/Policies

The grade will be determined using the Delaware Tech grading system:

90-100 = A
80-89 = B
70-79 = C
0-69 = F
