Course Description
This course provides individualized work on a practical field assignment or specified series of advanced web design assignments that prepare students for entry into the digital/web design/development profession.

Measurable Performance Objectives (MPOs)
Upon completion of this course, the student will:
- Access, use, and store data using a Macintosh or personal computer (PC) based platform.
- Use the various operational basics of a Macintosh or PC system.
- Create and store files in proper areas.
- Apply the elements and principles of design to web and multimedia layouts design.
- Produce images using resolution, image size, and image file format for web.
- Apply design principles, elements, and image composition.
- Discuss key web-based terminology.
- Develop assignment proposals, and apply project management, copyright and fair use, and teamwork to develop web design projects.
- Interpret the purpose, audience, and audience needs for preparing websites that meet design brief requirements.
- Communicate design plans with other members of the design team, peers, and clients.
- Discuss standard copyright rules for images and image use.
- Discuss project management tasks and responsibilities.
- Create a review and redesign cycle based on feedback.
- Create websites using technology/code that express objectives pertaining to a given creative brief and/or client subject matter.
- Use a variety of source code and/or media to solve design assignments.
- Create websites using a content management system.
- Manipulate and navigate the current trend of script based web languages.
